JDMmotorsports Completes Eclipse Engine Swap

Keith V. contacted JDMmotorsports to swap a 6-bolt 1G Talon engine into his 1996 Mistubishi Eclipse. Both cars were in non-running condition when they were towed to JDMmotorsports. Working with Keith we extracted both engines removed the balance shafts from the 6-bolt motor and swapped performance and stock parts between engines until the 6-bolt motor was running again. JDMmotosports had the swap completed in 2 days, but due to some electrical problems and one bad part the car was held over at the garage for an additional week. Keith now has possession of his DSM and is currently working himself on upgrading and fixing some electrical problems still plaguing the car. Keith plans to upgrade his fuel system and turbo in the future.

JDMmotorsports Completes JDM Engine Swap
JDMmotorsports
was contacted by Brian Studstill on Nov. 27th, 2006 to swap out his blown B16A2 engine in his 2000 Civic SI to a JDM B16B motor from a Type-R Civic. Brian and JDM consulted over what engine to buy and the swap was schedualed for the weekend of Dec 9th. JDMmotorsports completed the swap in 20 hours working straight through until the end. The reason for this was Brian was from New Jersey and we wanted to keep the install to one day if possible.

Brian is very happy with the swap and JDM even helped him to locate a used aftermarket header for his car last minute to complete his exhaust, and get the job done in time. A picture of the swapped engine can be seen in our gallery section.
