Dave's Story
Born in 1981 Dave, like most young boys had a fascination with and love of cars, but never really had the chance to work on cars until recently.
His initial interest began with car stereos. He installed stereos in several cars including his own Celica and his STi, and his interest quickly spread to other areas of the car-modification world. With the purchase of his 2002 Celica GT-S and the help from a friend, he started to realize his love of cars was more then just a boyhood fancy.
Dave had big plans for his Celica but was unable to fulfill them due to lack of a facilities and tools. The platform just didn't support his ambitions and Dave eventually parted ways with his first "tuner car" and from there purchased a 2004 RX-8 that he was determined to make his "race car" and that's when he met Matt. Dave had finally discovered someone else who shared the same passion for cars as he had. Dave and Matt worked on the RX-8, putting on a mid pipe, exhaust, and stainless steel clutch line. But due to inherent transmission problems and lack of aftermarket support Dave parted ways quickly with the RX-8.
In the meantime Dave's wife, Stacy (an equally understanding and amazing woman) decided it was time for her to get a "fun car". Dave had always wanted an STi and decided this would be the "fun car" his wife needed. After some reluctance and persuasion (begging) he convinced her that the STi would be her perfect car and they soon took delivery of a brand new 2005 Aspen White STi. With the help of Matt and his garage they were able to transform the STi into a rather potent street car. The STi is still driven by his wife everyday and is raced and shown by Dave in autocrosses and other events.
While working on the STi in the garage, Dave found that working on cars was relaxing and rewarding, so he and Matt decided to open JDMmotorsports.
